It seems that CIOs are not the only dignitaries that are raking the ‘moolah’ from the boom of the IT sector. Claiming a share are other prominent IT slots for which employers don’t mind writing a hefty paycheck, reports Ann Bednarz of CIO Magazine.

Robert Half Technology, a segment of Robert Half International, which emphasizes on IT staffing, have conducted a research, based on which they have catalogued an array of IT professionals that are pocketing $100,000+ salaries.

Robert Half Technology, using salary data based on U.S. national averages, has put across six such tech jobs that command such opulence:

1) Mobile Application Developer:  With the advent of mobile technology and data applications, developers of such technologies are welcomed with open arms with a paycheck ranging from $85,000 to $122,500, average being $103,750.

2) Data Security Analyst: The surge in technology has witnessed the surge of another antagonistic breed – Hackers! With imminent threats looping over the organization all the time, security analysts have to be on their toes, and for cooling their heels, employers offer them anything between $89,000 and $121,500; $105,250 being the midpoint.

3) Interactive Creative Director:  With companies gearing up for technologies, making a first impression has become imperative for any organization. The burden for this responsibility lies on the shoulders of designers, writers and art directors, comprising the ‘interactive creative team.’ Their chief task is to provide a creative outlook and a refined user experience, for which they are compensated with a paycheck ranging from $93,500 to $150,000; the average being $121,750.

4) Business intelligence analyst: With the traffic of data increasing rapidly, tech analysts who can design manage and develop organizational data are in demand. Their salaries range from $87,750 to $123,500, the axis being $105,625.

5) Information architect: The primary role of an information architect is to choose content, categorizing the visitors and designing the website for which a minimum of $78,250 is offered and a maximum of $116,000, average sum being $97,125.

6) User experience designer: Also referred to as the UX designer, he is responsible for the overall experience of the user with regards to creativity, designing and the susceptibility of the website. This type of professional is paid in a scale from $71,750 to $104,000. The midpoint is $87,875.

As John Reed, senior executive director of Robert Half Technology and The Creative Group has rightly observed, "These highly specialized positions help companies implement essential projects, such as improving and securing the firm's online presence across platforms, or gathering and analyzing business data. Employers are willing to pay well for these roles because they allow organizations to take advantage of new technologies and gain a competitive edge."

And he stands corrected!
