Bangalore: Security is an issue that has been constantly haunting CIOs, especially after the surge of neoteric trends in the likes of BYOD, Cloud computing and Social Media in the IT sector. Servers, database and records are compromised on a daily basis in forms of viruses, trojans, malware and clickjacking. According to an infographic released by Verizon, a leading global networking company, a detailed analysis of breaches in the company has been presented apparently in all sectors, viz-a-viz banking, healthcare, retail, information management and food service.

According to a recent survey conducted among 550 business and technology executives by Coleman Parkes Research on behalf of HP, both business and technology risks are growing in complexity, leaving CIOs in glitch. As such, just pouring money in information security isn’t going to be of much help if the adequate steps are not undertaken to prevent breaching of data in the first place.
