Views on new technologies
We have already moved on to cloud for collaboration tool and our Data Centre is 100% Virtual. I am a strong believer of these technology  benefits.

Keeping up with Technology
I read magazines time to time and attend seminars and
conferences.

Team Size: 30

Biggest Pain Point
Mobility..! Any time any where access.
•    Due to the concern for security it’s not possible to the access everywhere.
•    It’s also very difficult to keep pace with the advancement of technology.

Technology to Address Pain Points
Partially, YES so far. But we are Working  on more robust technology to address.

Slowdown Impact on IT Innovation
Yes, it is much need of the day. Even otherwise, innovation has a value any time.

Adoption of Cloud Policy
We have our data accessible to us any time. Vendor-lock-in is not an issue for us.

Expenses on IT Systems
Its always worthwhile to spend on IT. We have spent around 6 Crs in 2011-12.

IT Leader – Manager First or Technologist First
One should look at Technology-Leader. At the same he should be master in handling the team.

ROI on the Technology
Not for every investment. Some are indirect and long term for ROI.

Latest Technology
We would like to Integrate with different solution, mobility to give the end user a better experience.

Relationship Between CIOs and CEOs
It is like a sugar in milk. CIOs involvements are very much crucial for the CEOs when they make the strategies for the organization, because of their technical expertise; it helps them to think holistically.

Advice/ suggestions
ROI is not the only benchmark for implementing the solution or adopting the technology. There is more to it.
